So this is the new web site. If you like it let us know, if not well you can let us know that too but it will be nice if you give some suggestions too. This page will be for CPI members to post little “blurbs.” They will be changing on a monthly basis. They will range from Michael, our Ghost Gadget Guy to Joe who will be sharing some info on new techniques to use for investigating to well Tech and some theories. Janet will be sharing a variety of news with us, don’t be surprised if the first one is about Twilight and Vampires. I will try to think of something new to talk about each month…that won’t be a problem at all. We will also be doing something real cool, I can’t share it yet but I hope it is up by the 1st of September. Thank you for your patience while the “construction” is going…..
Remember: we are all learning since know one has died and come back to tell us which way to investigate is right or wrong…so be considerate of other investigators doing it differently than you….
Blessings
Kathy
FROM MICHAEL, THE GHOST GADGET GUY http://ghostgadgetguy.com
Cell Sensor RF & ELF/EMF Meter
Besides a recorder and a camera, the “must-have” ghost gadget is the EMF detector.
When I die, if I find out that I can’t manipulate EMF, I’m gonna be pissed. Why? Cuz’ I’ve spent hours walking around taking base readings, staring at meters, and hundreds of dollars on various meters. But let’s assume that I will be an EMF affecting S.O.B.
There are literally thousands of EMF detectors out there. Ok, maybe not thousands, but a lot! From cheap detectors that basically light up and say “Danger!” to expensive tri-field three axis meters that will measure a cat moving in the next room, the choices are plenty. Let’s focus on cheap and decent. The Cellsensor has been out for over 10 years now (Winner of the Design and Innovations Award – CES 1999!!). If budget is really key, I can sort-of recommend the Cellsensor. I can go into all sorts of explanations about EMF meters. But if you are visiting this site, well, you probably know as much as I do.
THE UNSEEN WORLD
The paranormal,
A crazy thought.
There are many
Mysteries that are unseen.
The horror of a moral character
Who may have the prudent
Belief in this realm of
The unseen.
I sometimes feel as if
I am impersonating the
Dark subconscious of
The human race.
Beyond the boundaries
Of belief by the deep
Recesses of the
unimaginable.
On the other side is a
Thin veil of an unseen
World. It’s a place
Of cosmic awareness.
The land of the dead,
The world of mystical powers,
The realm of idealism.
A unknown reality
That is nothing more
Than a shadow flicker
Upon the sub consciousness
Of our minds.
Within this world
Lies the answer to
The mysteries we are
So very ironically
Questioning.
Some try to press
Beyond this veil
And go to a realm
Of imagination few
People get to witness.
In this twisted shadow
Maze, Lies deception.
The deception that
Lights the way to
enlightenment.

Case Manager/Lead Investigator
I have been interested in every aspect of the paranormal since I was a young child. Fortunately my mother encouraged it. I have been blessed to have worked with some of the best people in this field and hopefully will continue to do so.
Doug
Lead Investigation
My parents were active members of the Theosophical Society when I was young, so I am no stranger to the paranormal, mediums, psychics, and the study of Eastern philosophy and religion.
My entire family attended a course in Silva Mind Control, and I am a card-carrying psy-operator! (if I can locate the card!) The Silva course teaches meditation techniques, and an introduction to guides, remote viewing and healing.
This past year, I have continued my membership in the Theosophical Society and attended the Summer National Workshop and the Inter-American Congress at the society’s national headquarters in Wheaton. I am also a member of Astara, and am currently studying degree work there.
I am a member of the AGS (American Ghost Society) along with my Soul-mate and wife, Mindy. I have met some very gifted individuals over the years, and hope to become one myself.
Lead Investigator
I got into the paranormal because I had a few experiences when I was younger and I just want to see if it is true and I am very much into the unexplained area of studies. As for like UFO’s or the pyramids stuff as that. I find it fascinating to try and figure out the world’s mystical side. Ghosts being a big part of it for me. I told people and family members of my experiences and they look at you like you need to be admitted to the closest psychic ward. I guess in a way I am looking for validation and answer’s not that I will ever find it, But the journey will and has been interesting and fun..
Michael aka: Ghost Gadget Guy http://ghostgadgetguy.com/
Lead Investigator
Ever since I can remember, I’ve had an interest in the paranormal, and things out of the ordinary. My appetite for ghost books, especially those concerning Illinois and Chicago, only further fueled my hobby.. My beliefs are scientifically and spiritually based. I guess you could call me an open-minded skeptic. 99% we can normally explain. It’s that 1% that makes me believe that we sometimes “do not go gentle into that good night”.
Although an amateur “ghost hunter” for most of my life, I’ve taken the next step into serious paranormal research. I truly believe that we are close to scientifically proving that death is not the end, but only the beginning.
Lead Investigator
I have always been interested in the paranormal, I have always wondered what was out there, was there a beyond….
I believe there is something or why would there be all those stories about hauntings which have been told and written about for decades, so instead of wondering and choosing whether to believe or disbelieve, I chose a different path- to investigate, to venture out and see what I can discover, prove or even disprove.
My soul mate and husband Doug is part of our team, we also share our love of horses, and we have two- Apache and Zeus. Our family consists of 4 children, and 2 cats.
Janet
Investigator in Training
I grew up with a mother who was always very interested in paranormal activities, before I was even born! I took an interest after hearing many stories from her. I love searching for the unknown, with people who are like family to me, creating a bond and trust. Every investigation is an experience! I love learning new things and even being proven wrong!
I’m a typical girly girl, with the exception of fast cars and football!
I am first and foremost a mother to two of the most unique and talented children! My husband is my best friend and a proud supporter of everything I do! When I’m not with my kids or ghost busting I’m obsessing over The Twilight Saga!
Jennifer

Ever since losing my mother at an early age I have wondered about death. This, combined with a few experiences of my own has driven me to search deeper than traditional explanations for the answers. Being part of such a wonderful investigative family is also helping me to overcome some fears as well. But it goes further than just the “ghosts”. For me, the nostalgia, architectural beauty and history of the locations we visit is just as fascinating as the paranormal aspect of the case. The privilege of even being allowed to enter some of these locations blows me away! I’ve always believed that there is something more. Now, I would like nothing better than to prove it. To others…and to myself. The creepy, the eerie, the tragic, the trapped, the loving, the beautiful – even the evil. The truly unexplained. The unmapped wilderness of the afterlife…that we’ve only begun to explore. Wow!
Tom
Investigator in Training
Like most kids I have always had some fascinations with ghosts. After losing my father at the age of fifteen I experienced the unexplainable. From that day on I was determined to find out the always asked question……Why? I was more than fortunate when a good friend of mine gave me the opportunity to find those answers. Not only do I get to do what I love, but I get to do it with some of the most professional and coolest people that I have ever met. My adventures take me to beautiful and historic places. So here I am looking for the answers. And I hope to help some find theirs.
Investigator in Training
In one word I would like to describe myself as a scardeycatbelievingskeptic. I have only recently overcome my fear of darkness. In this business you need to do that quickly
Through CPI I have been able to face my fears head on and investigate the paranormal in some of the most creepiest places on earth with some of the most fantastic people on earth. Its a rush looking for the unknown and trying to catch it. I do this for one reason and one reason only. I want validation.
…….and when I am not ”chasing the unknown” I am a mother of 2 and a wife to a very understanding husband who thinks I am absolutely off my rocker but loves me anyway. I work part time and I am very involved with my girls and thier activities. I am an avid reader and a HARDCORE TWILIGHT FAN. But just to give myself a little credit I have liked vampires since Anne Rice came out with hers……so there. I am also a History buff, I love researching haunted places and watching the History Channel.
……and last but not least. I.Hate.Big.Bugs.
