I have to say I am sorry that for the past year, well almost a whole year, I have not updated the web site.  For personal reasons I have been in a “funk” but I am glad to say that I am back.  Of course being on the radio tonight and feeling I must update this so it is current has pushed to motivate me.  Most of you know what I am talking about when I say it is hard to juggle family life, personal life, the work that pays the bills and this obsession in a time consuming hobby such as paranormal investigating.

I am working hard to add reports, evidence and upcoming events so please be patient.  As always please send comments to us, we love to hear from you.  Joe and I are working to add some exciting public investigations for fall of this year and next year. We will also have them posted on our FB page.

Doug and Mindy have been very busy with Dougs involvement with Civil War reenactments.  What a fascinating couple this is and I am Blessed that not only to have them in CPI but also as friends.

Michael of course is keeping busy with his Ghost Gadget Guy site and will be speaking at the Rockford conference September 22.  He has already been booked for next years AGS conference to have a workshop on equipment!

More to come soon…..can’t wait to share who is back with the team!!!

I am really excited to start sharing some of Joe’s thoughts with everyone.  Hopefully he will have time to post something new each month.  As some of you know Joe is the CPI tech manager and is a Sr. Investigator he also runs the CPI facebook and has his own.  Check it out he has some great and some different theories.  So I guess I have to mention that Joe’s views/opinions are not necessarily those of CPI and/or the members.

A time slip is an alleged paranormal phenomenon in which a person, or group of people, travel through time into the supernatural (rather than technological) means. As with all paranormal phenomena, the objective reality of such experiences is disputed.

The Scientific Explanation.

The Time Slip Theory works from the premise that time is fluid rather than fixed. Time is not linear as we experience it, but exists within a context of a single point of space.  It is a term usually applied when a period of time, maybe minutes or even years, appears to have been lost inexplicably, by one or more people, and is most commonly associated with a paranormal or extraterrestrial occurrence. Many people have reported such an experience during a journey, when the last reliable reference remembered of time is that of a clock striking or a news report on the radio, only to find that the next time the individual becomes fully aware of time, more time than expected has elapsed in contradiction to what would have been expected. The individual is then unable to account for the lost time. Although many scientists would argue that time cannot be lost but merely confused, for the people that experience this phenomena, it can be far from easily explained as a lapse of concentration or a period of drowsiness, or even sleep.

My Take on This.

If true, it is not hard to believe a person could slip from one point in time to another. Kind of the way we in our normal day would move from one room to another in our house. As such the image of an apparently very solid personality moving through a mansion completely oblivious to the presence of the observer may not be paranormal, but a snapshot from an earlier time that somehow played to the observer. This could explain ghost that are residual haunts or manifestation. Residual is where the spirit does the same thing every time it is seen or heard. It is like a film just playing over and over again. Are they just oblivious to our world not cause there dead but cause they somehow stepped out of time? How this could happen is still not known; but could explain how ordinary rational people reported being surrounded by ancient times for minute’s or even hours. Maybe it could explain the spirits dressed in period clothing also. This is only a theory or hypothesis it is to complex and has flaws but very interesting.

I like this theory it is interesting and could maybe explain other things like the Bermuda triangle maybe the ships and airplanes have time jumped to some other dimension. This could explain also the accounts of seeing the occasional ghost ship at sea maybe it is from a different time an crossed over to ours. Also the accounts of Ufo’s hovering in the sky and just disappearing into thin air as if it was to just fade away. This theory is just that a theory while no one can actually prove it or disprove this to account to anything paranormal it still does give us something to think about as we do our investigating to further the field of paranormal research. We must be able to see both sides of the field and take a objective look at the paranormal so that one day we may be able to understand the why, what’s and how’s of the field. Is it possible that Time is fluid rather than fixed; the thought is actually not that farfetched to me! Why is there no explanation to the paranormal; I think it is not very complex an there must be a reason; an explanation to it, But will we ever know. Edison, Einstein, Galileo, all has noted paranormal experiences so long ago and still no answer to the paranormal. Edison took it as far as building a radio that he believed would be able to communicate with the dead. Although this was not finished before he died and his plans disappeared or did they ever even exist.

This is the basis for the experimental piece of equipment called the Ghost Box or a Franks Box. We will look at these experimental pieces of equipment later and I will go further into them.  This field is one that will always be in the unknown category of time. Many will look for the explanation but I think when it is time for us to know it will be time. Can it be a higher power keeping the answer hidden or is it that there is a simple answer and we are looking to hard for the complex answer to be able to justify or even discount that this is even a possibility.  I think groups should start doing a lot of work into testing theories and new ideas; Confidential Paranormal Investigators is a great team and they help me and allow me to actively perform testing on our investigations. At the least Ghost Hunters will have fun trying to find the answers to the paranormal, or even to have an experience of the paranormal because I know I do.

This is only a theory or hypothesis it is to complex and has flaws but very interesting.

Halloween has its origins in the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain (pronounced “sah-win”).The festival of Samhain is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture. Samhain was a time used by the ancient pagans to take stock of supplies and prepare for winter. The ancient Gallic’s believed that on October 31, the boundaries between the worlds of the living and the dead overlapped and the deceased would come back to life and cause havoc such as sickness or damaged crops and even steel souls of the living. The festival would frequently involve bonfires,offerings,and relics. It is believed that the fires attracted insects to the area which attracted bats to the area. The belief was the bats would help protect them. The relics were used as like a good luck charm, the offerings were something they owned or grew and they would set at the base of the fire to give an offering to the evil spirits. Masks and consumes were worn in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits or appease them.

The kids are back in school and we, as I am sure you, are getting ready for a big Halloween.  But we have a busy September to get through first.  We have a couple great investigations coming up that I can’t wait to share with you after we are done with them.

In the meantime let me share with you a couple events that I am involved with in October as representative to CPI.

As my home page says, even Thomas Edison felt that IF we were to communicate with dead someday, that communication would probably occur using technology. As it is theorized, EVP’s we capture with our recorders are actually picked up via magnetic induction. That is, the spirit cannot create audible sound that we can hear, but is electronically able to be picked up, recorded, and played back. So then, reversing that logic, you may theorize that as spirits have no physical being (ie. Ears), maybe we need to talk to them the way they talk to us.

Moditronic Full Spectrum

Paranormal Researchers and Ghost Hunters have theorized for years that spirits reside in photography has been used for many years in our research, sometimes catching apparitions on film that did not appear to the naked eye. Probably the most famous is the White Lady of Bachelor’s Grove Cemetery. Back then, and even today, IR & UV photography was very expensive, very tricky in terms of handling of the film, and did not yield the Bangfor the Buck.
